There's a massive trend in sparkly, sequin-covered, glitter-covered shoes. The big challenge is how to distinguish between which shoes look fun and glamorous, and which ones are just plain trashy. With flat shoes such as loafers, tom toms, and ballet flats, you can't go wrong. Well, you could. Generally as long as the outfit is slightly more demure than the shoes, you'll be safe.
Heels, are a whole different playing ground. Sparkly heels can change a look in seconds if you don't step back and consider what you're putting on. I personally don't like shoes that are covered in large, more obvious sequins. They scream slutty to me. I suggest you stick with glitter, not sequins. When putting glitter shoes together with an outfit, as I mentioned above, don't chose a sparkly dress. Sparkle to the second power = tacky. I suggest a solid color dress, in a darker color. If you're feeling adventurous go for dress with a modern shape.
