Rainy Days

This past week, there was one day in which the Herndon/Reston area chose to do nothing but rain. the most annoying part was that I, being lazy and tired as I am in the mornings, did not check the weather forecast, but merely looked out my window. At the time that I looked there was no rain. At the moment I stepped out the door, to drive to school, the rain started. Suffice it to say, I was annoyed. I had not worn proper rain resilient shoes.
In previous years I have not found any rain boots that I could be persuaded to wear, let alone buy, and have consequently ruined many a pair of cute, non-waterproof shoes. But looking around the school and online I have found that rain boots are making up for themselves. There are some new and promising pairs to be bought.

^ Modcloth: Rain and Shine Boots - $52.99
I LOVE THESE. I think I'm going to buy them. The nude color is perfect, totally in right now, easily goes with anything, and great color for those "April showers". The design is simplistically chic. The black, beaded bow adds the perfect touch of "adorable!"

^ Target: Zebra Rain boots - Black/Silver - $29.99
loving the animal print. African/tribal is every in. Perfect for those with a "wild side" ;)
Target has LOTS of great patterned rain boots out right now.

< Urban Outfitters: Cooperative Tweed-Topped Rain boot - $59.99
Loving these ones too. They have a great sense of vintage style with the material, but also a modern feel with the shape.

^ High heeled boots for those daring enough are excellent too. A pop of color brings the fun into the dreary day. I also like wedge rain boots. Especialy black ones. They have a classic, chic vibe to them.
